Visit SCMA Booth at 2012 Events
SCMA will have a booth at two events this winter/spring. The MSSC Annual Salinity Summit will take place Jan. 26-27 in Las Vegas, and the AWWA/AMTA Membrane Technology Conference & Expo will be Feb. 27-Mar. 1 in Glendale, AZ. We hope to see you at one or both of these events - be sure to stop by our booth and say hello.
Save the Date for 2012 Events
Dates are now posted for two of SCMA's 2012 events. Make plans to attend our Introduction to Membrane Technology Workshop February 9 in Pflugerville, and our Annual Conference & Membership Meeting August 22-24 in San Antonio. Registration is now open for the February workshop, which will provide a general introduction to membrane technology used in water and wasterwater treatment. The one-day workshop includes both classroom and in-plant sessions. A call for abstracts is posted for the Annual Conference, and submissions are now being accepted. Engineers, operators, and other membrane professionals are encouraged to submit presentations.
Notice of Annual Membership Meeting
The annual SCMA membership meeting will take place Friday, August 19, 2011, at 8:00 am. The meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the 2011 Annual Conference, which is being held at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in San Antonio. You do not need to be registered for the conference to attend the membership meeting. However, if you do wish to attend the conference, remember to register by July 20 in order to receive the $100 early-bird discount.
If you have any items you would like to submit for inclusion on the membership meeting agenda, please contact the SCMA office. If you will not be able to attend the membership meeting, but would like designate another member as your proxy to vote on any action items that may come up at the meeting, you can find a proxy form online or by contacting the SCMA office. Results of the Board election will be announced at the meeting.
